This article was a great read. Very interesting, and gave me a bit more insight into the team as I really don't know anything at all about them. I always like to see what kind of workplaces people have too...
Looking forward to the next report!

I agree with Ms Gray.
Keep Chapter 4 secret as long as it can be kept secret!

It was truly a roundtable discussion, too, not a monologue or two-hour ramble by a bunch of us devs. Billiard can confirm I took several opportunities to open the conversation by directly asking for comments and input from the fansite reps on several topics. They didn't fail to provide, either, and gave us much-valued feedback and commentary from the global community as a whole.
As to the future, well, there are matters of timing. We talked about several elements of the future, but it's true that we did not spend too much time talking about the next campaign or other things of that nature. All in good time.

It was indeed very interactive and did give a lot of insights into how the devs think about things, even though perhaps specific future plans were not discussed. What was really comforting for me though is that the devs seemed very aware of all of the issues that players have been voicing concerns about. Most of the hot topics on the forums were brought up either by us or the devs themselves, and from their responses it seemed to me that they were being actively considered and worked on.
Something that someone said outside of the roundtable still resonates with me concerning this: The reason why the devs cannot deal with everything the players want right away is that they are also deisgning and testing the next chapter. Add to this the fact that the devs have learned and gotten better from Ch1 to Ch2 to Ch3 (discussed in the roundtable), and this gives me great hopes for Ch4!

I'd like to say, that was a great read. The pictures really helped give a "place" of where you were at. Good work, can't wait to read what else you have to talk about the trip.

Hehe...thanks for replying Gaile...I've been playing since Prophecies came out and it's very true that you guys have been great in communicating with us players and actually listening. Each expansion has added new things and with the updates a lot of fine tuning and such has happened.
What can I say...I am just really curious
It's great these guys from the fan sites could visit you guys cause they do a lot of work for the benefit of the game aswell.

Yea you got to love a company Like Arenanet... I mean its made up of some of the best people you could ever imagine, and they put up with all kinds of ridicule from way to many people over their fantastic product. But hey they stick with the fans and listen to what we all have to say... Can you even name another company that can say the same thing? I can't... Most have their agenda and thats it, and if your not on board well your a problem to them...
The other great thing is the Anet staff actually PLAYS the game they produce, and that is all too cool right there... I have run into a couple Devs through the years both in beta and since its gone live and been very happy to add them to my friends list. Its always nice to find the developers enjoying their creation with their fans, don't you think?
